1.0 General Rules & Information

1.1 General Rules
1. You may not copy any of our Roleplay (RP) Section formats, rules, character profile templates, etc.

2. Please check by regularly for changes in the rules.
The date that the rules were last updated will be mentioned in the title of this thread.

3. Please read all the rules before creating your character and starting your RP adventure.

4. If you ever need to edit your character profile, please let the RP-nins know.

5. Please PM HeartofSword if you find any rule that is unclear or difficult to understand. Please explain why you found it unclear or difficult to understand so that we can make it better.

1.2 General Information
1. The Roleplay realm is set at 20 years after the Rookie 9 (Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura, Shikamaru, etc) graduated from the shinobi academy.

2.1 Character Creation/Registration
1. Your character profile MUST all follow the format below or it will be ignored.

Clan/Organisation: Please get your clan approved before adding it here.
Rank: You can start out as an Academy Student or Genin.
The only exception is when you create a jounin sensei. Please read below for more information.
Current Team: Do not include this in your profile if it does not apply to you.

Battle Style: Taijutsu X Ninjutsu X Genjutsu (do not have to be in the same order)
(Replace the 'X' with these symbols '>', '<' and '='.)
A > B: A is better than B
A >> B: A is much better than B.
A < B: A is not as a good as B.
A << B: A is much worse than B.
A = B: A is equal in standard with B.
Weapons:
Chakara Affinity:
Jounins and above can have a maximum of two. Any rank lower can ONLY have a maximum of one.
Academy Students may NOT have any chakara affinity at all.
Katon (fire), Futon (wind), Raiton (lightning), Doton (earth), Suiton (water)
Bloodline Limit/Jinchuuriki: Do not include this in your profile if it does not apply to you.
Known Jutsu:
Do not include jutsu that have not been registered and approved.
All shinobis will know common jutsu that will vary depending on rank.
Other than common jutsu, the number of special jutsu a shinobi can know are as follows:
- Academy Student: 0-2
- Genin: 1-5
- Chuunin: 3-7
- Special Jounin: 5-9
- Jounin: 7-12

Appearance: You can decide if you want to include a picture or not and choose to write it in point-form or in sentences.
Personality: You can choose to write it in point-form or in sentences.
Family & Relatives:
History/Background:
One brief paragraph is the minimum requirement but you can choose to write a lot about your character.

Is your English good or bad?
Please rate from 1 (very bad) to 5 (very good).
Don't worry about this. Answering this question truthfully will not affect whether the RP-nins will approve your registrations or not. It is just to let us know whether you need any help with posting in English that others can understand and how much help you need.

2.1 Character Creation Continued...
2. You can have up to a total of 4 RP characters:
- Maximum of 3 Custom Characters (dead characters will not be counted towards the total)
- Maximum of 1 Anime/Manga Character, dead or alive

3. You may not create a character from the anime/manga.
The chance to create them will be given out at random by RP-nins at a first-come-first-serve basis.

4. Only Japanese names will be allowed for characters.
Strictly no words from other languages. ie NO English, Latin, French, German, Greek, etc
For help on Japanese names, look at the section "6.0 Helpful Websites" below.

5. Custom characters can only come from a country or hidden village that is known in the anime/manga.

6. Custom characters cannot be distant/normal/close relatives of anime/manga characters
unless there is a known existing clan in the anime/manga, such as the Hyuuga Clan.

7. Custom characters cannot belong to anime/manga organisations that are unlikely to take members in. eg Akatsuki

8. Please do not form custom organisations as of now.

9. Please make sure that the history or background of the character is relevant to the anime/manga Naruto realm.
However, you do not need to involve characters from the anime/manga if you do not wish to.

10. Your characters must at least be of an appropriate age before they can obtain certain ranks:
- Academy Student: Ages 5+
- Genin: Ages 11+
- Chuunin: Ages 14+
- Special Jounin / ANBU member / Hunter-nin: Ages 16+
- Jounin / ANBU Captain / Hunter-nin Captain: Ages 18+
- Medical-nin: Must be at least a Chuunin.
- Missing-nin: Must be at least a Genin. (Read 2.1.11 "Rank Levels for Missing-nin" below)
- S-Class nin: Ages 18+
- Kage: Ages 18+
- Damiyo: Ages 18+ (unless there is no successor upon the death of one)
- Civilian: No age limit.
A civilian can be anything ranging from a shop owner to a construction worker or even an actor.

11. Rank Levels for Missing-nin
- D-Class Missing-nin = Genin
- C-Class Missing-nin = Chuunin
- B-Class Missing-nin = Special Jounin
- A-Class Missing-nin = Jounin
- S-Class Missing-nin = S-Class nin

12. Custom characters MUST start out with the rank of either Academy Student or Genin.
In order for your custom characters to gain a higher rank, you need to roleplay with your characters for them to develop and become stronger. They also need to meet the age requirements of the rank.
When you think that your character is ready, create a post in the "

" board to request for your character to gain a rank.
Your title must be "Request for higher rank" and you must include:
- brief descriptions of your character's achievements and links to the respective posts to prove them
- the reason your character should gain a higher rank
The only other way to gain a higher rank is to obtain it from a promotion or giveaway.

13. However, you may create jounin custom characters if you are creating a jounin sensei.
To be able to create a jounin sensei, you need to find a team of 3 custom genin characters and have the people using them to agree to be under your team. If that happens, please make sure that everyone involved updates the team section in the character profile. (PM a RP-nin if your character profile thread is locked.)

14. Your custom character cannot become a Daimyo, Kage or S-Class nin easily.
You will need to roleplay A LOT to gain any of these ranks. The chance to gain those ranks may also be given out at random by RP-nins at a first-come-first-serve basis.

15. You may NOT create a custom character who is a genius or has a jinchuuriki without approval.
If you really really want to create a genius shinobi, please PM a RP-nin and request for the permission to do so.
RP-nins are not obliged to approve all requests, aka they have the right to disapprove a request without needing to explain their decision.
The chance to make your shinobi have a jinchuuriki will be given out at random by RP-nins at a first-come-first-serve basis.

16. Please be reasonable when listing the weapons and equipment that your character carries.
It is unreasonable for any character to be carrying more than 10 weapons unless he/she specialises in using weapons.
Weapons, which come from summons, do not count towards the total number of weapons carried.

17. Custom characters are NOT allowed to obtain certain jutsu that are impossible for them to obtain.
These are examples:
- A shinobi who knows how to use Orochimaru's forbidden jutsu.
- A shinobi from clan A who knows how to use clan B's jutsu.
- A shinobi knows lots of anime/manga characters' jutsu coz the anime/manga characters taught them everything they knew.
You can try to steal jutsu as your character progresses but it does not mean you will definitely succeed.

18. Please get the jutsu, clan, bloodline limit, etc that you include with your character approved by the RP-nins ASAP.

19. If your character profile is incomplete, please include the following at the start of your post:

2.2 Character Development
After your character has been approved by the RP-nins, you will be able to start his/her adventures. Your character will definitely meet with major events in his/her life (eg obtained a higher rank, created a new jutsu, etc) and have developement in his/her personality, etc. You will be able to archive these events....

3.0 Registrations Guidelines

please post them in the '

Jutsu, weapons, equipment, etc that exist in the anime/manga do not need to be registered.
This is the list of items that you may register:
- Custom Characters
- Jutsu
- Weapons
- Equipment
- Summons (Creature)
- Summons (Weapon(s))
- Clan with/without Bloodline Limit
DO NOT REGISTER CUSTOM VILLAGES AT THE MOMENT

2. When you create a thread to register a single item, please make sure that your title is in this format:
Registration Type: Name of the thing you want to register
eg Character Registration: Uzumaki Naruto
eg Jutsu Registration: Thousand Dogs

3. You may register mutiple items in one thread. However, please keep your registrations for characters and clans separate from other registrations. Meaning, you should not include registrations for other stuff in the same thread as your character registration thread.
Here is an example. Assume that I need to register my character "Uzumaki Naruto", his clan and some jutsu/weapons that i created for him. Therefore I will need to create three threads with titles like these:
Character Registration: Uzumaki Naruto
Clan Registration: Uzumaki Clan
Jutsu & Weapons Registration (Mutiple)

3.1 Jutsu Registration Format
Please do not register Bloodline Limits (eg Byakugan, Sharingan) as jutsu.

Title of the thread-> Jutsu Registration: (Name of Jutsu)

Jutsu Name:
Category: Taijutsu, Ninjutsu, Genjutsu.
Sub-Category: Sealing Jutsu, Cursed Seal Jutsu or Hiden (Secret) Jutsu. Do not include if it does not apply.
Sealing Jutsu and Cursed Seal Jutsu are botth Ninjutsu.
A Hiden (Secret) Jutsu is a jutsu that are based on a kekkei genkai (bloodline limit).
Rank: E-rank, D-rank, C-rank, B-rank, A-rank or S-rank.
The rank will depend on how difficult it is to perform the jutsu and NOT how powerful the jutsu is. Of course, when a jutsu is more powerful, it tends to be the more difficult to perform.
E-rank jutsu: Academy Student level. D-rank jutsu: Genin level. C-rank jutsu: Chuunin level.
B-rank jutsu: Jounin level. A-rank jutsu: Jounin or Kage level. S-rank: Secret/Extreme level.
Hiden Jutsu have no rank.
You may add Kinjutsu (Forbidden Technique) after the rank if the jutsu either causes great harm to the user or is dark/sinister in nature.
Type: Offensive, Defensive or Supplementary
Range: Please state in metres.

3.5 Clan with/without Bloodline Limit Registration Format

Title of the thread-> Clan Registration: (Name of Clan) + (Name of Bloodline Limit if your clan has one)

Clan Name: This will be the same as the last name (surname) of your character.
Clan Description:

Bloodline Limit: It is not a must for clans to have a bloodline limit. Do not include this if it does not apply to your clan.
Bloodline Limit Description: Do not include this if it does not apply to your clan.

Hiden (Secret) Jutsu: This is for jutsu that are passed down from generation to generation within a clan.
Only clan members will be able to know of the clan's Hiden Jutsu.
Please name and describe the jutsu in the format in section "2.1 Jutsu Registration Format".

4.0 Posting Rules
1. Please post in proper English with proper punctuations, spacings, etc.
If you have problems with English, please let the RP-nins know.

2. To make your sentences understandable, please refrain from short-forms.

3. Whenever your character visits a place, please create a new thread under the correct board and make sure that the title is in this format:
Full Name of Character/Team: Place that your character visits or what he/she is doing (you may add additional details)
eg Uzumaki Naruto: Ichiraku Ramen Bar
eg Uchiha Sasuke: Konoha Shinobi Academy, training his shuriken-throwing
eg Haruno Sakura: Konoha Hospital, visiting Rock Lee
eg Team 7: Kakashi's Bell Test

4. If your character visits a certain place again, please make sure your thread title is different from the previous one.
eg On the 1st time Uzumaki Naruto visited the Ichiraku Ramen Bar, your title was:
Uzumaki Naruto: Ichiraku Ramen Bar
On the 2nd time Uzumaki Naruto visits the Ichiraku Ramen Bar, you title can be like this:
Uzumaki Naruto: Ichiraku Ramen Bar after a mission

[b]5. The places that your character can visit is entirely up to you.
In other words, you can make up the places but you must keep it relevant to the Naruto realm. Your character can visit a barbeque restaurant, the beach or even a video game arcade.
An example of a place that will never exist in the Naruto realm is a rifle range since guns do not exist in the Naruto realm.

6. If you have created multiple characters, please state which character you are using at the beginning of the your first post in any thread.

7. When you want to post anything that your character says, please use these signs: "...."
eg "I won't be beaten so easily!"

8. When you want to post anything that your character thinks of, please use these signs: "...." anditalics.
eg "His killing intent is so strong that I can't move... I need to think of something fast or we will get killed!"

9. Do NOT edit your posts for the purpose of changing the story because you are pissed that you let your character get killed, etc.

10. Your character cannot dodge every single attack that enemy shinobis make unless he/she has vast difference in skill level. eg your jounin vs enemy genin

11. You cannot injure or kill off other people's characters without their permission.
ie "Shinobi A throws a kunai and it comes dangerously close to Shinobi B"
NOT "Shinobi A throws a kunai and it hits Shinobi B in the eye"

12. Your character will NOT know of events happening in places that he/she is not present at, unless somebody tells him/her about it.
These are examples:
- The Third Hokage was killed in Konoha. A shinobi from the hidden mist village will not know about it unless somebody tells him about it or the news of the Third Hokage's death spreads there.
- An enemy shinobi infiltrated Konoha. Nobody in Konoha will know about it unless somebody spots him and manages to tell the news to someone else in Konoha. If the enemy shinobi kills the person who spotted him, nobody will know about his infiltration.

Question #1: How do I start roleplaying?
First, register your character and anything else you need to (eg Jutsu, Weapons, Clan, etc) in the "

After your registrations are approved, you may start roleplaying by posting in the village board that you belong to.
ie Konoha shinobi should visit the "Konohagakure" board.
For information on how you should post, please read section "4.0 Posting Rules" above.

Question #2: Where should I post if my character visits an ally/neutral/enemy hidden village?
You should post in the board which corresponds to where he is.
ie My Konoha shinobi enters Sunagakure on a mission. Therefore, once my character enters Sunagakure, i should post in the "Sunagakure" board.

Question #3: What can I get in promotions/giveaways
We will give out one of the following in every promotion/giveaway:
- A chance to create or edit your character into an ANBU member.
- A chance to create or edit your character into an ANBU Captain.
- A chance to create or edit your character into a Hunter-nin.
- A chance to create or edit your character into a Hunter-nin Captain.

- A chance to create or edit your character into a Jounin.
- A chance to create or edit your character into a S-Class nin.
- A chance to create or edit your character into a Kage.
- A chance to create or edit your character into a Daimyo.
- A chance to create or edit your character into a A-Class Missing-nin.
- A chance to create or edit your character into a S-Class Missing-nin.

- A chance to give your character a Jinchuuriki.
