Ever wonder how chidori is performed? Sure, we have seen the secret to rasengan, but what about chidori? Here is my theory to the performance of chidori...

So far, the only two known to use this technique are Kakashi and Sasuke. Both of whom use sharingan. As it is the bloodline technique of the uchiha, it is safe to assume that the sharingan eye is a fire technique. This means both Sasuke and Kakashi have a fire type chakra. Sasuke of course uses fire, but Kakashi must have fire to or else he couldnt use sharingan.

Now, the technique starts by focusing a large amount of chakra to a particular hand. When their is a large consentration of chakra to the hand, you heat the chakra to a point that it is able to pierce even steel. Sometimes, things become so heated that it causes lighting. Thought this isnt crucial to the technique, this is what gives it the lighting look. The trick is realy the extreme heat concentrated at the hand. This is how it was able to penetrate Haku with out sending a huge amount of blood. Most of the blood was burned solid. This also explains its ability to penetrate the iron tower on the roof top.

Now, what about chidori current? This is where the lighting comes into play. Thought I have yet to see it in action (Anime), I have a theory at least on how it is done.

Sasuke focuses the electricity created form the heat to paralyze the oppoents body by shocking the nervouse system. I will describe this technique better after i see it in action on the television.

Any other theories or did that sum it up?

im guna have to disagree wit u on alot of that.........but remember this is all mostly opinion. First off sharingan doesnt take any fire to activate (in my opinion) its just that the uchihas are fire manipulated easily but u dont need any to activate sharingan and kakashis sharingan is always active.

In order to do the chidori u need to be lighting chakra manipulated first, which sasuke learned how to do in the 1 month that he got to train for chuunin exam. Now you focus a large amount of lightning manipulated chakra into one hand which emits lightning and since the lightning is crackling its makes the thousand bird sound. And through the thrust of your arm you can penetrate a lot like that iron tower. About the current thing it could paralyze someone if you hit them in the heart but idk..... sasuke hit gaara in the left shoulder and it did seem to paralyze him for awhile... thats my thoery

I gotta agree with hawk. As explained in the manga, a lot of people have two types of chakra. Sauske could have lightning chakra in order to make chidori

right, i forgot about the month training. I agree that is possible, even though i still like my theory.

If your theory is right, Sasuke already has two chakra types and could probably become Jounin.

Chidori can't be because of Sharingan can't it? Since Kakashi had already created/started creating it (as a kid, in the manga) before that Uchiha from his team (can't remember the name) gave him the Sharingan.

sorry dude but ihave no idea wat yoiu just said, care to rephrase that a bit and yes i have read kakashi gaiden in the manga so i dont mind readin this

You see, when Kakashis team was "ambushed" by that one enemy, he used his new move, Chidori, to "kill" the shadow replications, but he wasn't able to use it properly yet.

yah so are you saying chidori/raikiri doesnt need the sharingan to be used? yah i no that but i think kakashi needs the sharingan in order to use the chidori just because when you use the chidori on some one you need to charge at them which gives your opponent the opportunity to take you down easily but with sharingan you can predict wat ur opponent is guna do and dodge it.....

I kinda meant that it is not up to sharingan neither you can or cannot use it, yeah. But I meant that post on the first post of the topic, I think I saw somekinda thing cluding in to it in it.
