Break down of head bands

Each head band has the symbol of the village the ninja is loyal to.

A scratch through the head band generally means that they no longer show loyalty to this country.

Ever notice the difference in colors of certain peoples headbands? I have the break down on this as well.

Blue:Official Ninja


Black:Top Ranking Official Ninja (Given to those that graduate from their villages ninja academy at the abosilute top of their class. Neji is always shown wearing this and Sasuke had also worn it in the past. During the figth with gaara and the gaara chase he is shown wearing his black headband. He continues to wear it until his defect from konoha, in which he seemingly only brings his blue one. It is fair to assume that Neji also owns a blue headband.


Red:Taijutsu Specialist Official Ninja (Both Lee and Guy have been shown wearing the red headband fromt he begining of the series. Also, Choji has been shown wearing a red headband in the naruto 2 series.)

The location of the headband seems unimportant, as not everyone seems to wear it on their heads.

Forhead:Naruto, Sasuke, Kankuro, Kiba, Neji, Tenten, Shino, Kakashi, ect.

Over Hair: Choji

In Hair: Sakura

Tied Around Arm: Shikamaru

Around Waist: Ino, Lee, Guy, Gaara

Around Neck: Hinata, Temari

I would def wear mine around my head, considering i bought one last time i went to anime boston. I bought a blue one.

yah def forehead fo me too, mayb sideways like zabuza lol idk but around the forehead is coolest...

Maybe forhead... Probably around my arm. The forhead seems like it would be too distracting.

yes but what i don't understand is that it's for protection, so around the arm won't protect you. At least on your forhead, you won't die of a kunai to the head. Plus it looks pretty sweet

yah i dont thinks its actually for protection its just to show which village ur from, i mean they call it a forehead protecter but still i think only sasuke has ever mention the forehead protecter as a protecter when he was tlkin to naruto and he said "u wont be able to put a scratch on my forehead anyway"

yeah that's kinda true, but if you really think about it.....getting hit in the head with a kunai would hurt a lot more without it

wouldnt the kunai penetrate the protecter if it was thrown and hit ur forehead? anyways the chances of the kunai hitting ur forehead are the same as the chances of it hitting anywhere else.....

Well considering that the headband would be around my waist, then certain things i would like to protect would be protected J/K

Well my hair isn't long enough so i'll rock the forhead

can I say I would have it around my hand and not arm or leg maybe the knee so I can use it for deflecting kunais or hitting my enemy with it because as a ninja I wouldnt wear something that is not for protection or attack (wearing warm clothes is for protecting from cold)

Infact, I'm sure there are probably gloves witht he plate and symbol on them.
