Hey guys, seeing how kusanagi is kind of "sleeping" right now I'll start from now on looking for nice players who are clanless and offer me good fights. We should do something to bring all this back to life.

I'd also like to say that this forum is so complete it kind of overdoes it; since you get a little bit lost looking for info. in it; and since nearly all the info is actually kind of old, we could maybe clean up a little bit, eliminating useless sections and combining some others to make the forum more attractive. That, at least, is my opinion. See you guys online and hope I find some nice dedicated guys.

People actually have to post on the boards, post on the forums, post on the thread, get on the CB. It's usually just me, cave, bug, and HoS right now.

anything to promote the clan would be good... whether it be a person just posting, getting "popular"/ known and building clan relations through that or tourneys, wars, etc. but seeing as how everyone's still getting characters on SA, noones going to do any of that in any clan at all

even if we do recruit someone, reality is most people would just leave considering how inactive it is... but we really do have to start inviting or this won't get anywhere realistically

that is exactly what I'm trying to do now that I have all characters. Hope I have some success. I finally got to the top 10 so now my name appears there and can be seen by people

I don't really know much about how the clan system works. Why is our clan not laddering?

We're not ranked. I guess HoS did it so we wouldnt fuk up our record while we were still gettin used to the game lol. I think we should start laddering soon if we want to be recognized as an active clan. What do u guys think? It seems all of us are pretty decent players.

which sections do u suggest i remove or archive?
do u guys think i should archive the entire "Naruto/Soul -Arena Game Section" since the official Naruto-Boards and Soul-Boards already have this and noone seems to be using them anymore? and i am also considering archiving the "Naruto Roleplay Section" since no one uses it as well.

what i'm planning is to have a big banner for the header of the overall archives section header, which will be positioned right below the clock, so that people know that it is the start of the archives and the archives sections do not hinder users. then all the archives sections will be locked. this is to allow the forum users to have a glimpse of what we did in the forums in the past and our rich and long history. it also shows our level of activity in the past.

I'd say it's a matter of bad timing. S-A was released like 4 days after we got back our clan name -_-

For keeping our level of activity high, I think we should have a number of people in-charge of each area. Say something like this:
- A, B, C, D will keep the xat chat active (AB will be from similar timezones while CD will be from another set of similar timezones). 2 groups of 3 members keeping xat alive will be much better but we have to make do with what we have at the moment.
- E, F will keep the Naruto-Boards clan thread alive.
- G, H will keep the Soul-Boards clan thread alive.
- GFX-nins can create Kusa banners for their siggys, eg something like my siggy on N-B and S-B if u noticed.
- I, J will maintain this forum, best if they are part of the GFX-team since the GFX team will be checking this forum most often for gfx requests.

As for the inviting, we could find people who display a certain level of maturity and intelligence and show potential, and invite them first for a start. They'll be put under Trial until we help them to improve to the Kusa standard. But the invitations cannot be overused as we dont' want to find ourselves with a large pool of members under trial and then start finding them to be inactive or undesirable (eg rude, annoying, etc).

buggy try not to be overzealous lol. u know they are watching u so u might wanna restrain yourself a bit for the time being ;D

yep exactly as bug said. i'm not looking for short-term fame for the clan profile by racing to it to top 10 or whatsover while messing up the clan record in the process of doing so. if we did and say one day we decide to correct the ratio to a certain level of standard, we'd have to get +100 streaks or so in order to do so because by then, we'd have thousands of games played. i think if we maintain a good record in the long term, it reflects better on us.

as for why the clan profile is not laddering, that's because everyone is set to no rank at the moment.

We really don't have enough people to divide everyone into 8 groups. It's better if all of us just start getting in the habit of it. Other than that, a lot of sections / topics need to be unstickied or archived. If it's archived maybe put it in an "Archives" section and put all the archived forums there --- I mean like how this is General Chat and Introductions you would put the other archives in here as sub forums with the topics still being in there specific forum.

Ok i see your point. Regarding the forums, there's a problem. I can't create subforums. Therefore the best that i can do is to shift all the unused forums all the way to the bottom of the page, below the clock.

As far as I know, noone uses, checks, or has recruitment threads in the clan invites section anymore. People mainly use the main topic of the clan to ask to join and what not.

If you can't create subforums, why not just make it invisible in the permission mask settings and then remake the section if you want to start off fresh. I don't know if they use the same terms but permission masks let you post or not post, read or not read, etc.

The sections that I'm planning to archive are like no longer in use and i dont forsee people using them anytime soon, that's why i'm just gonna move them to the bottom of the page (below the clock) instead of recreating new ones.

as for your sig not showing, it's because u typed the wrong url for your player card. ur not supposed to have "www" in front of "soul-arena".

I meant if you wanted to start off with clean forums, you would make the old ones invisible and remake it with the same name and description and to just make the archived forums invisible.

umm the Member's area, guests can see it without logging in even though you can't see inside, it still looks weird with "Clan Chat" and the other 2 I forgot are out
