quick ques i was jw wat the hell doess datte bayo mean naruto says it soo much in the anime

i've noticed this too and i think that maybe it means believe it and the people who sub the episodes just don't put it in. but then again i could be totally wrong.

It´s some kind of expression that hasn´t got a literal translation. Sometimes it can mean "believe it!", "OK?", "please"...I think it just emphatises what you say.

My friend and i have a joke that every time naruto says believe it in the English anime, someone is swearing in the japanese anime. So even if naruto isn't there, you here believe it when someone swears.

O.o have you seen the "fun with akatsuki" chapter where kabuto sais "sasuke" and yamato sais "fuck, he said the S Word" and suddently naruto appears from the bushes and yells

yah lol that sooo funny i watched all the fun wit akatsuki last night jus cause i was bored, the PTA and recruiting episodes were sooooo funny.

It`s a nonsense word with no meaning. Like "dude" (??) Im German we have "alter". The stupid ones without a education say`s it all the time :/

It's meant to put emphasis on something. For instance, (assuming I spoke japanese) If I said that "I want to read this book" with Dattebyo at the end it would be something like "I'm Going to read this freakin book NOW" It's used to add conviction to a sentance. Though Naruto says it waaay too much.

well,many times,other than naruto,they will say"NANDATTEBAYO!!"which I conclude that it means "why?"...
