What do the Akatsuki wish to acheive from the Jinchuriki?

I think that if they have all of the Jinchuriki they will be all powerful

yah if u take all of konoha and ther alliances vs 8 rly strong baddies i think the good guys will win in the end. o and is deidara a chick? and when did tobi join the akatsuki hes so kool lol

All powerful..............They already are,Itachi probally can take all three sannins at the same time and win so they dont need power

lol itachi vs all 3 sannin i dont think so he prob would lose to jus 2 of em and the puppet guy was beaten by sakura and the old chik and ther not even close to bein as good as a sannin and deidara almost lost to gaara and then he lost to kakashi and naruto.

I think itachi could take two of the sennin.....jiraiya and tsunande........throw in orochimaru and i doubt it though

No, remember that Itachi and Kisame didn´t attack Jiraiya because they said something like "even if we can take him down we both will die".

No Itachi said that about Naruto if Orochimaru was scared of Itachi that means Itachi could take Jiriya out and he could do it with Kisame

I think you´re wrong, remember that by that time Naruto could only use 1 tail of the Kyubi and even with 4 he wasn´t able to defeat Orochimaru. Also, Itachi and Kisame waited to attack until Naruto was left alone in the hotel and Jiraiya went "to investigate" . When Jiraiya appeared they just fought a little, Itachi humiliated Sasuke a bit and then he and Kisame escaped when Jiraiya got serious.

But what you say is true, I already discussed this in another topic and what someone told is that Orochimaru didn´t say that he was scared of Itachi, but that Itachi had become too powerful for Orochimaru to control his body. There´s a difference there, maybe Orochimaru can take Itachi down but he won´t be able to control his body.
